MEXICO CITY – Ten hours since the conclusion of Mexico’s Presidential debate, front-runner Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador is still at the Palacio de Minería answering the final question from last night, according to the venue’s custodial staff.
AMLO, who is known for his measured, snail-paced speaking rhythm, was still completing his planned remarks and presenting cute fabricated graphics to the empty venue as of 8a.m. this morning, according to Luisa Salas, head janitor at the Palacio. His campaign organizers are hopeful he will wrap-up his commentary prior to the start of the second presidential debate next month.
